Welcome — I’m Dr. Asif Khan
If you’re here, chances are something isn’t sitting right whether it’s anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, or just a persistent sense that something needs to change. I want you to know: you already carry the strength and wisdom you need to feel better. My role is to help you reconnect with it.
For over 20 years, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist, and my work is grounded in compassion, science, and the belief that healing is possible — for everyone.
How I Work
My approach is direct, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your pace and your process. I don’t believe in “fixing” people — I believe in walking beside them with curiosity, presence, and effective tools that actually work.
Psychotherapy with me is active. You won’t be doing it alone, but you will be doing it for yourself — because I trust that your inner wisdom, your lived experiences, and even your struggles hold the keys to healing.
I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique personality, needs, and goals. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, work through the pain or confusion, and help you build a life that feels more aligned and whole.
Professional Background
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a specialization in Cross-Cultural Psychology
- Trained in Clinical Hypnosis by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH)
- Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) by the EMDR Institute
- Trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) by the Center for Self Leadership
I draw from all of these modalities as needed — not because I believe in overloading clients with techniques, but because I believe in using the right tools for the right moment, always grounded in connection and collaboration.
