What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is the fear or worry that something bad will happen. It is the “What if?” thinking. It can also cause obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
When to come in?
Anxiety takes up a lot of energy leaving you exhausted and frustrated. It can interfere with your sleep and appetite, cause stress on your mind and body and negatively impact your relationships. It can take a serious toll on your personal life, social activities and performance at school or work.
How does it work?
We can help you identify and work through your fears that trigger anxiety episodes. The best and quickest way to treat anxiety is to experience calmness and relaxation, which is the complete opposite of anxiety. Clinical hypnosis is an evidence based treatment modality for relatively quick and effective treatment of anxiety. Mindfulness Based Stress management strategies are also proven interventions for treatment anxiety and panic.
Our Therapy Process
Your first step is to call us to schedule your initial appointment. We will link you up with the therapist that we believe will be the best fit for you.
Your initial evaluation session provides an opportunity to build rapport with the therapist and provide them with some background about yourselves and the reasons you are seeking counseling. In addition, they will be able to answer your questions regarding services, confidentiality, and what to expect in therapy.
At the end of your first session, if you decide to move forward and work with that therapist, you will be asked to schedule further appointments. At your second appointment, we will create a treatment plan together that is compatible with your personality, needs, resources and your unique cultural background.
